Hear the Story (Advent 2024)
Hear the Story invites us to listen to the ancient stories of Advent and Christmas, of God coming into Creation to walk with us and call us to justice. Over the four Sundays in December, we will hear dramatic readings of the scripture passages from the Gospel of Luke to bring them alive and practice ways we can share this story in our community.
Most importantly, we will recognize that good news can come in difficult moments, when injustice and suffering are on the rise, when LGBTQIA+ neighbors are afraid, when war and violence dominate our headlines.
God can be present with us.
This is a story that we need to hear.
Discover ways you can find community, deepen your faith, and share the light of God this Advent season.

Bible Study: Light of the World
A Beginner’s Guide to Advent
It’s so important for us to return to scripture and explore new perspectives. We will be offering at least two opportunities to go deeper in the Christmas stories using Dr. Amy-Jill Levine’s book, Light of the World: A Beginner’s Guide to Advent. You can purchase a copy for around $10. We’ll hear from Dr. Amy-Jill Levine directly for each session and have time to respond to what we are learning.
Sessions will be offered on Thursday evenings virtually as well as Sundays after worship.
